TLD 30 II or TLD 50 II LRS), a 1” thick rod, and a heavy line of 25-50 pound.

*The leaders have to be strong for this type of fish.

*9 or No. 10 hooks large enough to hook this specie.

How to Catch the Big Ones

*You need to head out well offshore.

*They basically can be seen because they cause surface turbulence.

*They tend to stay in schools of fish.

*Sometimes they tend to be around dolphins mammals.

*Late afternoon is the best time to try to catch them

*Two ways to of fishing might be the best; drift or trolling.

*Create a chum line to attract their interest.

*If you decide to use live bait then hook them on their side thru the nose, and      under the dorsal fin, above the anal fin, or through the breastbone.

Tuna are quick enough to keep up with the boat. Once you hook one it will five you the thrill of your life. Real big Tunas you need a gaff to lift them on board. Once on board enjoy it because it probably took you a few hours to win the fight.
